About the Blog

Trevor McMaken is a pastor at Church of the Resurrection, an Anglican, Evangelical, Charismatic church in Wheaton, IL. He handles Resurrection’s online and print communications, runs the Media Arts Teams, helps lead the Community Care ministry and serves in the worship ministry. He has an MDIV from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Trevor’s wife, Bonnie, is also a worship leader at Resurrection as well as a freelance writer for RELEVANT Magazine, Neue Magazine, Christianity Today, and other publications.

Together, Bonnie and Trevor form the singing duo The McMakens and released an album in 2009 called Sleep Easy and an EP of their worship music in 2010 called In Wilderness and Glory that you can download for free.

Trevor and Bonnie have two children and love being parents. On any given weekend you might find the McMakens hanging out with friends, playing music, or making homemade pizza.
