Christmas Festival Communications

This year for our Christmas Festival, Resurrection decided to bring back an event that had taken a year off, Christmas Village, and to try a new event, Christmas Pageant. All of this happened on the 4th Sunday of Advent, which for us liturgical folks, meant that it was not exactly Christmas just yet.
So our communications team had the challenge of describing a day long Christmas Festival that had such diverse components as two quiet, contemplative Advent services, a global bazaar called Christmas Village, and a medieval choral concert that included children.
After a lot of strategizing, we decided to create one seem-less brand with several symbols (Star, Manger, & Village) that could be re-arranged to create sub-logos for each of the events.
Check out the brochure here and the invites here. We also created a sub-domain for the event: christmas.churchrez.org
Christmas Village required a lot of other print materials, so we spun off the that logo and created another related, but different look for Christmas Village. Check out the missionary profile here (to protect our missionaries, we cannot post the other materials online).
The logos helped our congregation and those in the community understand the Festival as a whole day with lots of different but related activities. Advent, the Village, and the Pageant were all exciting experiences (check out the photos below)! I’m grateful for my communications team and the creative thinking, precise and compelling writing, and careful designing they did to clearly cast vision for our Christmas Festival.
